underground workings - (4) any anthropogenic underground excavation, including adits, crosscuts, declines, drifts, inclines, levels, portals, raises and shafts. Also referred to as galleries in other countries.

ungulates - (3) hoofed, cud chewing animals, including cows, sheep, giraffes, deer, camels, horses, tapirs, elephants, rhinoceroses, and swine.

uplands - (3) lands at higher elevations than alluvial plains or low stream terraces; all lands outside the riparian-wetland and aquatic zones.
