This bibliography has been created to bring together ecological and management literature on grasslands and rangelands of the western US. The citations are almost exclusively from recognized journals and cover a wide range of topics related to habitat restoration, revegetation, management, disturbance, and general ecology. Some non-western North America studies have been included if they seemed relevant.

The rangelands of the western US are diverse and governed by a variety of climatic and soil conditions. This database is divided into regional categories that are then divided into range types where appropriate. For some regions, there were insufficient numbers of citations to warrant a separate range category. Keywords, abstracts, and titles can be part of separate search requests.
