“World’s Worst Water”
Electric-blue, purple and green, the water that drips from the walls and ceilings in the Richmond Mine near Redding, CA, is so acidic that it once dissolved a steel shovel left overnight in a puddle. The most acidic water ever found on Earth contaminates the Richmond Mine. Highly acidic water leaking from mines across the West has killed countless fish, birds and other wildlife.
