Mineland restoration projects have been implemented in response
to a spectrum of concerns. The following examples showcase
the techniques, equipment, costs, environmental conditions,
challenges and results from projects implemented in Montana,
Alaska, Oregon, Idaho and North Dakota. These examples
are presented in the spirit of learning and not under the
assumption that any single approach is correct or incorrect. There
